Training
To be fully trained and earn the Trained Leader emblem*, a new leader must complete basic training in the following order:
Youth Protection Training: New leaders are required to take Youth Protection training before submitting an application for registration. The certificate of completion for this training must be submitted at the time the application is made and before volunteer service with youth begins. Youth Protection Training must be completed every two years to remain current.
Fast Start Training for their volunteer position
Leader Position-Specific Training: Fully trained leaders changing leadership roles should take the Leader Position-Specific Training for their new position.
Orientation Training: This is Scouting
* In addition, Boy Scout leaders must complete Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills Training through their local council.

TBD - Training for volunteers in the Pickens District will be scheduled after February. Any Unit Specific training plase contact Jeff at 864-324-2369.
Unit Training Inventory - Unit Training Inventories will be conducted over the next few months. Unit leaders should be reciving emails in reference to unit volunteer training records.
